Local Expansion Modules provide additional Inputs and Outputs to Comfort or Slaves.
There are 3 types of LEM;
- LEM01-M2 has 8 inputs and 8 outputs.
- LEM02-M2 has 8 inputs with no outputs. This is the same as the LEM01-M2 without the OP1 output driver module. The LEM02-M2 can be transformed into the LEM01-M2 by plugging in a OP1 module.
- LEM03 has 16 inputs and no outputs. With the LEM03 connected to Comfort, no Slaves can be added. Thus the total capacity of the system becomes 24 inputs and 8 outputs. To enable the LEM03 16-zone board, go to Configuration > Modules & Settings and check the box for LEM03 (24 zone). The LEM03 cannot be connected to a Slave Expansion Module.
The Local expansion modules are connected locally to the Comfort main panel or Slave expansion Panel via a short 10-way ribbon cable to socket J5. The board is mounted within the main panel using the four fixing posts and screws provided, or it can be mounted on the base of the Comfort enclosure using an optional longer ribbon cable. Hence only 1 LEM can be connected to Comfort or SEM.
When more than 16 Inputs and Outputs are required, Slave Expansion Panels (with Enclosures) are required. SEPs are the same size as Comfort and have their own power supply and battery charger to supply auxiliary power to external devices. Refer to the Slave Expansion Module manual at
